Induction charges ahead
Inventropolis participant Evatran (Plugless Power) does it again. This time with General Motors Chevy Volt. Evatran already has a pilot with Google, a distribution agreement with German giant Bosch, now the world’s first wireless charging system for electric vehicles (“EVs”) will be available for the Chevy Volt.
Spot on
The Inventropolis Transportation series has been spot on with two technologies:
- The EV market will decline, but induction charging will continue to grow in importance.
- The smart-dock bikeshare approach (e.g. Citibike) will be replaced by the lower cost, more flexible smart-lock technology akin to that offered by Inventropolis participant Social Bicycles.
