Hoboken Bikeshare
Hoboken is the pilot of a bikeshare system (called Bike-the-Skyline). If successful, this new model will show that bikeshare is viable in cities of every size and type. The primary reason is money. While the smart-dock approach used by Citibike and Capital Bikeshare runs about $8,000/bike and more, this newer more flexible model costs under $1,000/bike to set up. The Hoboken model:

- Integrates full service bikeshare with automated bikeshare
- Is linked to Bike and Roll’s 2,000+ bike operation in NYC
